The Celestial Map
The 27 Nakshatras
Explore the lunar mansions of Vedic Astrology
From Ashwini to Revati, explore the symbolism, psychology, life themes and deeper meaning of each Nakshatra. Long before the twelve zodiac signs reached India, her seers divided the sky along the Moon's own path — twenty-seven mansions of roughly 13°20′ each, the Nakshatras. From Ashwini to Revati, the Moon crosses one mansion each day, and the mansion rising at birth was held to imprint the native's deepest instincts.
A Map of the Psyche
In The Nakshatra Blueprint and the forthcoming Nakshatra Psychology Series, each mansion is studied as a psychological archetype — a signature of temperament, desire, relationship style, vocation, and spiritual lesson — turning an ancient celestial calendar into a working instrument of self-knowledge.
✦
27 mansions × 13°20′ — the complete 360° circle of the ecliptic, walked by the Moon in a sidereal month.
✦
Four pādas each — 108 quarter-steps, the sacred number that threads through the whole of Indian contemplative science.
✦
Deity, symbol, and śakti — every mansion carries a presiding deity, a governing image, and a distinctive power that shapes its psychology.
